We really cannot understand why a colander would cost anyone over £50 let alone £125. The La Cintura Di Orione Colander is designed by Richard Sapper and is made from 18/10 Stainless steel with a mirror polish. We agree it's classic two-ply of thick copper coating is a nice feature. But with its simple, elegant design maybe you would be more than happy to hand wash it rather than put it in the dishwasher with other kitchen items.
